If you have any questions about society, the economy and why things are the way they are, then watch the Zeigeist films. They offer many real world solutions to some of our biggest societal, cultural, and financial issues.
WARNING: This beautiful movie may blow your mind! (At worst, it will get you thinking.)
You can watch the movie for free at:

If you enjoy the Zeitgeist movie, I would love it if you write a comment with your highlight or your personal commentary on the film.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
This a brilliant collection of Calvin and Hobbes cartoons about snow art. Really shows you the brilliance and creativity of Bill Watterson.

Mad props to Kate for the collection.
The average face is apparently the most attractive. This site is for real research, but its tons of fun to play with the faces:

Here’s a novel idea. Rather than making batteries last longer, make devices use less battery power.
Make a screen for a laptop that is transreflective, so it isn’t using battery power for the screen:

I want one!
This is my favorite site for HTC T-Mobile G1 info so far:
http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2008/09/android-makes-its-debut.html
I looked into the memory. It takes SD 2.0 aka SDHC.
The main thing that annoys me is the camera not recording video. Wonder if that has to do with the amount of memory they sell it with. Hopefully they will upgrade that firmware soon.
Freakin’ cool feature: When you take a photo it stores the GPS coordinates where you took it.

Oh yeah… Mine is in the mail.
I’ll let you know more, when I get it.
What are people thinking so far?
Okay, so its not made by Apple…
But…
T-Mobile has consistently been one of the most innovative wireless companies out there. For example, the T-Mobile Hot Spots offered a service that was unmatched by any other wireless company. They put into place an amazing infrastructure of WiFi locations. Or another example is their T-Mobile @Home which adds home phone service onto the same plan as your wireless service for only an additional $10 a month.
Google, on the other hand, is new to the wireless world, but has proved its worth in so many other technological fields. They always put their best foot forward. Their products have a tendency of succeeding because of the usefulness and ease-of-use. Not to mention, of course, Google’s awesome software creation abilities.
Combine the two and you get the new T-Mobile G1 phone on the Google Android platform.
The announcement came last night on Sept 23 and the official release date will be Oct 22, 2008. I can’t wait.
And to top all its other fantastic open source goodness, the phone is affordable.
A great short film from director John Knautz for those of us who think our minds can handle no sleep.
Don’t no-sleep and drive. This is what might happen…

Biofuel and a race around the world…
Earthrace is a high tech boat designed to drive through waves rather than over them. This allows the boat to traverse more water at higher speeds. And just as impressive is the fact that the boat will run on Biodiesel. The boat was built for a mere $2.5 million. The record attempt will start on March 6, 2007 from Barbados following a few promotional stops on the East Coast of the US. The goal of building the boat is twofold:
1) To raise awareness about biofuel.
2) To beat the world record for boating around the world by 9 days.
They plan to get around the world in 65 days, 9 days faster than the past world record of 74 days set in 1998. To beat the Round the World record they need to follow a set of rules.
You can read more about the boat at:
